This blog is an exercise in finding my voice through others.
Today we face the dilemma of originality. Although some may say that everything heretofore has just been a copy of one original, I do not find the search for something actually new to be a fruitless quest. For me it is very important to acknowledge that this new idea or thing is only possible through the quotation and appropriation of past ideas.
By assimilating a personal library, specific to me, I wish to explore the potentials of applying quotation to my life, and Just as a little baby learns to speak through a mimicking of sounds, I am hoping to discover a new language of understanding through the literal act of taking others quotes and writing them with my own hand. The final result is unknown, yet I remain hopeful.
